Overview
You will have to complete all three of these Level 3 units to get your qualification:
- Unit 301 Understanding the principles and practices of assessment – 3 credits
- Unit 302 Assess occupational competence in the work environment – 6 credits
- Unit 303 Assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding – 6 credits
The course will take approximately 6 – 9 months to complete.
Structure
Unit 301 is delivered in workshop format. Following this you will complete a written assignment to cover the underpinning knowledge element of the qualification, and later a professional discussion to end the course.
Units 302 and 303 are assessed by you collecting evidence, as guided by your tutor, including: Observations by your assessor. Examples of your learner’s work (2 learners x 2 units – 4 units in total) this will be countersigned and IQA sampled. This needs to demonstrate different assessment methods, and resources used to support your students. Assessment documentation, i.e. planning /feedback /matrix sheets to match the learners and units above. Centre documentation i.e. IQA reports/counter signer feedback. Training needs analysis identifying any development needs you might have.
